Privacy Policy

CamSkip puts two people on a one-on-one video chat inside a web browser. Doing that requires a small amount of information about your device and your activity. This page says what that information is, what we do with it, and what you can ask us to do about it.

Who this policy covers

It covers everyone who opens camskip.live, whether you are browsing as a guest or have signed in. The site is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly keep information about anyone younger, and an account that turns out to belong to a minor is closed.

What we collect

We try to collect only what the service needs in order to work.

  • Session data. When the page loads, a guest session is created for your browser so you can start a match without filling anything in. That session has an identifier stored on your device.
  • Profile details you choose to add. A display name, a photo, or anything else you decide to put on your own profile.
  • Activity on the site. Matches you start, people you follow, text messages you send, reports you file and blocks you set.
  • Purchase records. If you buy coins, we keep a record of the order. Card details are handled by the payment provider.
  • Technical data. IP address, approximate country derived from it, browser type, device type and error logs.

Camera and microphone

Your browser asks for permission before the site can use your camera or microphone, and you can withdraw that permission in the browser settings whenever you like. Video and sound travel between you and the person you are talking to so the call can happen.

Remember that the person on the other end has a screen in front of them. Anything shown on camera can be captured by the viewer with their own device, and no website can prevent that. Our safety tips cover how to keep that in mind.

Why we use it

  • To connect you with another person and keep the call running.
  • To remember your follows, messages and coin balance.
  • To show the Who's online list, including the country view.
  • To translate text messages when translation is switched on.
  • To look into reports, enforce the Community Guidelines and stop abuse or fraud.
  • To fix bugs and understand which parts of the site are used.

Who else sees your data

We pass data to companies that help us run the site, such as servers, video delivery, payment processing and analytics, and only as far as they need it to do that job. We may also disclose information when the law requires it or when it is necessary to protect someone from harm.

Other people on CamSkip can see what you show them: your profile, your video during a call, and the messages you send them.

Cookies and local storage

The site stores small files in your browser to keep your session alive and remember settings. If you clear your browser data, a guest session is removed with it, along with anything attached to that session. Analytics cookies help us count visits; you can block them in your browser without breaking the chat.

How long data stays with us

We keep information for as long as it is needed to run your session or account and to meet legal and accounting duties. Some records may be kept longer where that is needed to handle reports, prevent abuse or meet a legal duty.

Your choices

You can edit your profile from inside the site. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or have your account and its data deleted, write to [email protected] from a contact you can verify. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, and we will honor them.

Changes to this policy

When we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so on the site.
